I get that they were going for a certain “old-school” kind of adventure game vibe with Syberia 3, but they failed to nail it. This game feels like it should have been released about 15 years earlier! That is saying something because the previous game was not even that old. I also liked the score it has a rather haunting feel to it and it fits in with the “cold” setting that the game has. A few of the Youkol people are hamming it up a bit, but for the most part, the voice acting is of a high standard. The voice acting is decent enough, especially from Kate. Haunting SoundsĪnother thing that I feel they got right with this game is the sound design. The underwater section in particular looks fantastic.
The facial animations are a bit stiff, but apart from that, I am pretty cool with the way the game looks. I really do not see what people’s problems with the visuals are. The setting is great and I think the character models all have a lot of personality to them. I have to say that Syberia 3 is a pretty decent-looking game. I was shocked that many of the reviews I read about this game complained about the visuals. I thought that the story was ok, it lacked the wow factor of the Mammoths from the last game, but I thought the story was probably the strongest part of the game, to be honest with you even if it was not quite as good as what the last game offered. Balatom Bridge: Corrected the animation of the shaman’s beard in one of the cut-scenes. Corrected the lighting during the cut-scenes. Baranour History Center: - Corrected some of the cameras at the station. Corrected a display bug with one of the camera shots during the roller-coaster scene.
